Futsū no Joshikōsei ga LocoDol Yattemita. (普通の女子校生が【ろこどる】やってみた。?) is a 4-panel comedy manga series by Kōtarō Kosugi, serialized in Ichijinsha's Manga 4-Koma Palette magazine since 2011.
Story[]
The story is about the life of a high school girl, Nanako Usami, and her senpai, Yukari Kohinata, who end up becoming the town’s local idols (locodol) upon the request of her uncle. However they would soon learn that their new idol lifestyle is less than stellar as they are only be interviewed by the town’s shopping center, appear on low-budget cable television, and perform concerts on top of the roof of department stores. The girls’ salaries come from the town’s taxes.

An anime adaptation produced by feel. and TBS under the LocoDol Production Committee is scheduled to air starting on July 2014.
Music[]
The anime's BGM is scored by Tomoko Nagatanigawa under the Nippon Columbia label. Under the same label, the Nagarekawa Girls, consisting Nanako and Yukari, will perform the opening theme "Future Fanfare" (ミライファンファーレ?) and the ending theme "The Future Girls" (未来少女たち?).
